Meet Investment & Management Team

R. Eric Best

Mr. Best is a founding member and is chief strategist and project director of the company. He has been a mergers and acquisitions and private equity attorney with top global law firms, a seasoned investment professional, and an operating executive, with 30 years of professional experience, 9 of which were in engineering. His expertise includes valuation, acquisition strategy, deal structure, merger integration, business process improvement, turnarounds, and investment strategy. He is a Certified M&A Professional and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Champion. He is knowledgeable across a variety of sectors including real estate, oil & gas, energy & infrastructure, automotive, manufacturing, engineering & construction, and professional services. He has a strong track record of successful transactions and investment strategies, and has worked for and represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as startups and middle market companies. Mr. Best holds an B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan and an J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.


Mark O'halloran

Mr. O’halloran is a serial entrepreneur and operating executive, having owned or co-owned several manufacturing companies over his 30 year career. He is a brilliant visionary, who is passionate and resourceful, with a rare awareness for details. His expertise is in (i) managing and operating companies, (ii) growing, improving, and creating value in them, and (iii) positioning them in the marketplace to be sold at a profit. He is particularly skilled at deal negotiation, program management, growth strategy, value chain development, product development, strategic turnarounds, operations and process modernization, company repositioning, and pricing strategy. Mr. O’Halloran has substantial expertise in advanced technology in precision manufacturing. He holds an B.A. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business.


Chet Kondas

Mr. Kondas has over 30 years of professional experience, spanning a range of industries including management consulting, commercial real estate, media and telecommunications. He has a relentless commitment to achieving objectives, and his honesty and integrity are unrivaled. He has particular expertise in project and program management, corporate strategy, finance deal structuring, sales and marketing, corporate strategic planning, business process reengineering, and change management. His experience includes startups, small companies, and major corporations. He is a former consultant with one of the top global accounting firms. Mr. Kondas earned a B. A. from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also served 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.


Michael Freeman

Mr. Michael Freeman is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of operational, turnarounds, restructuring, performance improvement and leadership experience. He has held numerous senior executive positions and has served on Board as both an Advisor and senior Director. Roles focused on performance improvement, sales, strategy development, transformation management and value creation for start-ups, distressed and established enterprises in a global market. Mike’s background provides a unique perspective allowing him to quickly analyze and determine not only the business and sales issues, but also the operational, technology and financial issues that can be remedied and optimized to facilitate the rapid growth and transformation of a company. As a successful executive, he has experience in mergers and acquisitions, Operations, Turnarounds, Strategy Development, Finance, Sales, Channel Development, Business Development, HR and the creation of new solutions. He has been responsible for the Profit and Loss (P&L) for operations ranging from $25m to over $1B in direct and indirect revenue in the US and International markets with multi-site responsibility in the consulting, technology, and manufacturing markets. Mr. Freeman earned a B.S. in Business Management from University of La Verne and an M.S. in Technology Management from University of Maryland, University College.


Keith Rosenzweig

Mr. Rosenzweig is a Fortune 500 executive leader with a 25+ year track record of embracing new challenges and quickly achieving strong financial results through strategic planning, developing strong partnerships, and building high performance teams. As a business leader, he specialized in Brand Portfolio Management, Acquisition Integration, Contract Negotiation, Multi-Channel Business Growth, New Product Innovation, and Talent Development. He has led teams in both commercial and retail, domestic and international, with focus on Big Box, specialty craft retail, automotive retail, independent dealers, home centers, co-operatives and distributors. His passion is for taking businesses to the next level and driving accelerated growth through operational and sales excellence, and establishing critical synergies through horizontal and vertical integration. Mr. Rosenzweig earned a B. A. from Boston University and an M.B.A. from San Diego State University.


Ben Leung

Mr. Leung is a venture capital and private equity investor, as well as a consultant and strategy leader to startups and growth stage companies. His 16+ year career started in engineering and management consulting, and evolved into several highly successful entrepreneurial ventures of his own. He has been a key strategist in the growth of technology companies domestically and internationally. He has a passion for technology companies, but has exceptional strategy, operations management, and problem solving skills which have proven valuable across a broad range of companies and industries. Mr. Leung holds an B.S. in Applied Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto.
